What started in 2017 as a small group of people who sang songs together, has grown into the most well known walk-in choir in The Netherlands. Thousands of people already sang their hearts out, with a sold-out Paradiso as the highlight so far.

Summer ’17
Maarten and Tijmen start Popup Choir as an one-time experiment on summer nights. Dutch newspaper Nederlands Dagblad is there and writes a positive review.

Autumn ’17
With videographer Maurits involved, Popup starts to sing every other week – the first time with 10 people.

Our first foreign booking, in Sheffield, England. Events in Belgium and France follow.

Charity edition in Paradiso. Almost 1000 people sung Heroes and collect 15.000 euro for Musicians without Borders.

Corona hits us. Popup makes the switch to online, with live streams and sing-along videos.
